    I want the fretless.

My main bass is a fretless Jazz. But frequently lately I want another one. Yours would do just fine. Or one like it I guess.

  7. I did all the Fenders, especially the Fretless but I've never been impressed whatsoever by Alembics. I just can't seem to get past the looks of them.

  8. too many Fenders for my liking :meh:

I'll never get rid of my Alembic. I had that built for me back in 90, and it is a part of the family! When I was on the road, that is ALL I used. Playing in a top 40 band and doing casino work, I am able to get just about any sound I want from it. Plus even today, the necks LEDs still make me go WOW!

I don't use it much anymore (mainly in the studio), the older I get, the heavier it gets! Plus I have kinda gone back to my roots...thus all the 4 string Fenders!

But time to time, I pull it out at a live gig. And almost everytime I get comments from other musicians on how full and clear sounding that bass is. No mistaking an Alembic!
