He had lung and brain cancer, and was admitted to the hospital ICU on Christmas due to fluid in his lungs. Almost lost him that day, however he hung on. Then he got a blood clot that traveled to his lung and that is what killed him. He passed away on Sunday morning, about 1 or 2 AM. He lives in Florida, and I was gonna make plans to go down to see him, but his long time girlfriend said that his wishes were to be cremated and that there wasn't gonna be any services. I am doing okay to the most part, trying to keep myself busy, but sometimes I stop and realize that he is no longer here, it makes me sad. I know that he is no longer in pain and is in a better place now...
So sorry to hear it Selena My step dad went in much the same way.. if there's any good that can come out of it, it's that he's no longer suffering and is now at rest and at peace. Be strong and god bless.
Sorry to hear that. My condolences. My father in law passed away on December 13, then my best friend's Dad on December 21. This sort of situation really hits home. It's difficult, but in both cases, the situation was similar to your Dad's.........failing health had ruined the quality of life. May they all rest in peace.
I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my Mom 10 years ago, and I still have moments that it hits me that she's gone. It's definitely a big deal.
Selena, my condolences, it is a hard thing to lose a parent, at any time, but around the holidays it is even more difficult...may your new year be a brighter and happier one.
My sincere condolences and sympathy. May he rest in peace, and may your family's love for each other support you all and help you heal from your loss.
