My First Lesson

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by moxnix9, Oct 8, 2002.

  1. YES! Finally, my orchestra teacher found a guy she thinks suits me perfectly (sounds gay, no offense) for teaching me electric bass (sounds great). His name's Jay Hungerford if any of you know him because he does some kind of jazz festival from time to time. My first lesson is scheduled for Oct. 29th at 5 PM at his house. So I think this means I'm getting private lessons, correct? It's $30 for 45 minutes. And it just so happens the day after my first lesson I have an orchestra field trip to play at UMSL. Thought I'd share this with you guys/girls because I'm excited to meet this dude and learn all that I can on electric bass!:D :)

Yup, this is a bit late to the thread, :) but ...

As I was about to get off the PC and go work out of this Excellent Jay Hungerford bass book, I thought I'd look him up and see if there has been any dialog on him or the book.

If you're still around, I'd Love to hear how your lessons went.

If this is the same Jay Hungerford who wrote the Walking
book, you are Privileged to be able to take lessons with him.
