    Greetings folks,

After spending 10 days with my Fodera 5 that I haven't seen in over a year, that's also equiped with raspberry pickup covers that Prince would be proud of, I'm loving this bass! I've got it strung up with a high C and the thing plays like butta, I tell you. I'm a happy camper and I'm going to get my new pick up covers tomorrow though the existing covers are beginning to grow on me, go figure.

Overall my experience with the folks at Fodera has been a good one. In the end they made it right and that's what's important to me. They didn't charge me for the work they did and I feel they did a good job, and the bass is killer, which is what this is all about isn't it? Weird things happen sometimes especially when running a business and sometimes a customer does fall through the cracks, I know, I've been on the business side and I can relate. Despite my fiasco, these are some really nice guys and if I was rolling in the dough and wanted to splurge I would have them build me a custom.

Beautiful! What are the woods on that?

I'm guessing the top is either cocobolo/ebony/rosewood, and the fretboard is the same.

    Regardless, looks like a keeper!

  7. Woot! You're bass isn't wearing lipstick anymore! :D Congrats Phil, that is one beautiful looking bass (once again!).

Glad to see that those guys are honorable gents :D

Macassar ebony top and fingerboard, and what seems to be a walnut body.

    Nice looking fodera.

The core is mahogany and the pickups covers are wenge. Nice looking ebony top and back on the baby.

    Congrats!

But I think I missed the picture with the other pickup covers, can I see a picture to a/b it?

I agree, the Wenge covers are much nicer. Note: I thought it was going to be the cool pink, shucks. But yeah, the Wenge covers are way better.

What kind of crack were the smoking when they put the purpleheart ones on there? YUUUCK. In the right setting, purpleheart is great. But not on that bass!

Anyway, it looks very nice. And no one ever need ask which model it is either! :)
