My fuzz boxes sound bad with the new ampeg...

    I bought the Ampeg BA-210SP and I was going to use my ProCo Rat with it but it sounded like someone let a swarm of angry bees in my amp at any setting with the rat, does the same thing with my Big Muff anf my univox superfuzz...I'm so lost...

    Turn the tweeter off.

    what he said. maybe dim the highs a little too.

    Sorry for the late reply but I tried that, theres no way to disengage the tweeter and the highs only slightly muffled the angry bees when rolled down. I tried all sorts of things with eq and all and nothing works, every other pedal sounds great except for distortions...

    Open it up and physically disconnect the tweeter/crossover from the signal chain.

    A distortion pedal...or amp modeling pedal with speaker emulation will take care of the bees...
