As a big guns fan and in that Duff was a major influence on me as a player I've always sought out that appetite tone. Guys will say it's easy as the gear was simple but I'll argue it's not so easy after all. Even though the gear was basic there are many things that DO affect the tone. This is my version of that awesome sound and I think it's pretty spot on. I do have "my" tone and I do "my" thing but Duff has had an impact on all of that since I started playing. Once apon a time I wanted to play like Sheehan but I later realized it's just more fun to rock with a groove and be a part of the band. I'll post a couple vids I took but for the moment here's the gear. 1987 GK 800rb Early genz Benz 2x15b w/ EV 15b. (Also use an EV 2x15 with same speakers. 80s Ibanez ce-9 chorus Modded squire with jazz neck, harness from Duff sig bass 73mm tortex Rotosound 66 45-105 EV In the video I was tuned to D for my regular band and I use black beauties from time to time just cuz.
