here are some pics of the Koa i bought from a dealer on Kaua'i.

it was an 80" long board, 8" wide and 1" thick. i had them cut it to 20 - 22" lengths before shipping.

the piece with the knot should be good for 2 or 3 headstock laminates.

    bookmatching time!!!

    Carey,

i was waiting for someone to ask.

    :)

let me bookmatch them this week and post updated pics.

i plan on using 2 for me, with one left over to sell(whatever). maybe have a talkbass giveaway!

like i said, i should have enough for 3 bookmatched tops and headstock veneers.

    YUM!

What the hell does that mean, "THE CAREY"? LMAO.

You're going to saw them yourself? Cool. What saw are you using? I have a great source for blades. They work wonderfully. highlandhardware.com Look for the Wood Slicer blades. Very nice resaw blades.

So, you say "2 for me". Are you building basses? Post pics!

Fred, I had a dream last night, no kidding, in which I learned that "fhodshon" is sanskrit for "rooster."

    now you're scaring me...

No, you were doing a performance art piece in which you slapped yourself in the head with a steak while reciting an e.e. cummings poem.
