    Built her from parts:
Alder paint-grade body bought from ebay for 28 bucks, had a luthier paint and laquer it
    Neck and hardware from allparts
    Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups

How does she sound, you ask? Well, to put it simply, booty booty booty booty booty. Crisp highs and chunky lows and low mids. The ultra J's are a little scooped so I'll see at band practice tomorrow how it cuts through. The slap sound is a lot like Marcus; it's got the '70s spacing. I will be posting sound clips very soon, so stay tuned.

As promised, the sound clips. These are just straight into the soundcard using windows sound recorder, so you can imagine how much more ballsy it is through an amp.

Angelfire doesn't allow direct linking, so just copy and paste the urls and remove the question marks from http.

Damn, is that a direct recording?! I guess it would sound like an earthquake in butter trough an amp!

Awesome sound and looks! Congrats! ;)

    Eskimo,

Your bass looks and sounds great. The last clip isn't working.
I have almost the same combo (alder , maple w/blocks, UltraJ's) and it is my favorite sounding bass right now.
