I've always been interested in old video games and systems. My most recent purchase is an Atari 2600.

It was released 12 years before I was born, but it's still fun!

It came with 14 games. I have Asteroids, Commando, Canyon Bomber, Casino, Dodge 'Em, Fire Fighter, Frogs and Flies, Galaxian, Home Run, Kangaroo, Space Invaders, Starmaster, Street Racer, and Super Breakout.

If anyone wants to recommend me some more I'd appreciate it.

Behold! The most beautiful video computer system ever created!

Funny you bring it up. I just dusted off the system of my childhood, a Super Nintendo. We got our first when I was 4.

Now I'm blowing through Super Mario World from memory. I'm astounded how much I can recall from 15 years ago.

I'm trying to fix my SNES by soldering on a new connector. Hopefully it'll work. I miss it. :(

I still have mine. It's the one that my brother and I got for Christmas when we were kids and everyone had to have one.

Best game ever for the Atari 2600: ADVENTURE

No doubt about it - just ask anyone who is a 2600 aficionado.

    Now I feel old.

I still have my original NES. And play it. Any my SNES, 64, and PS2.

That game!! it had the first Easter Egg i can recall. You found a dot in the top of the maze and pushed it through the barrier at the begining, then it would scroll the credits for the game.I don't know how we found that but it was awesome at the time!

No Tanks, frogger, or missile command? you got ripped off man :)

I remember playing missile command on the old black and white television up in Grayling... good times.

I should dig it out sometime.

The mind-bogglingly terrible reality is that someone will probably pay double just to have this.

Very cool! Is this your first time owning an Atari?

You totally need to buy Circus Atari, Football, BMX Airmaster...heck, there is a whole bunch of kickin' BMX and skateboard games, Warloards, Yars Revenge, and Basketball.

Atlantis, Spider Fighter, Demon Attack, River Raid, HERO, Pitfall, Ms Pac Man, Q Bert are good ones. Megamania is one of my favorites.

I have a simulator on my pc with nearly all the binaries ever made for the 2600 :bag:

Yep. I was browsing eBay for some new NES games and I couldn't resist getting this little piece of history.

The manual for StarMaster says I can send in a picture of my T.V. (with a qualifying score) and Activision will send me a "special emblem of achievement"

I'm 27 years late, but Activision is still around, right? ;) :D

    Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

Don't forget combat. It came packaged with it. Did someone already mention Defender?

I still have mine at my parents house. I also have the original Atari Pong, in it's box. :smug:
