i guess to some its not that light. but i'm jacked.

    ha

anyways, its an Iamp 350 running at 4 ohms, sending 350watts to this 2x8 custom Lou Furlanetto Bass cab. these 8's slam, and are tight and focused. they sound great with my f basses.

i'll be changing the metal cornbers to locking plastic ones soon, and also adding another 2x8 cab with no tweeter to really rock the house one day. or maybe a 12 or 10, i'm not sure...

    what do you think?

i love this combo, it gets soo much use and sounds amazing for its size. it wows guitar players with how easy it fills big rooms with sound

    anywho..

    the money shot..

I'm trying to keep my rig light, too. I've got a BBE Bmax-T and a QSC PLX3402 in a little three-space SKB rack with wheels and a pop-up handle. 3400 Watts in a package that's easy to move and weighs ~40 pounds. Hard to beat that power-to-weight ratio!

I use it to drive two homebuilt 1x15 boxes with JBL D140s. These boxes weigh ~50 pounds each. I can load everything by myself easily and it's plenty loud to do classic rock in small - medium clubs without plugging into the PA.

I don't have a picture yet, and am waiting for the amp, but here's what my light-weight rig will be in a couple days:

    PodXT
    AI Focus SA
    Bergie HT112

About 45 pounds, 450 watts. Should be killer.

thanks its really a great piece of gear

everyday, i take it to skool, set it up/take it down about 5 times there, then bring it home to practice, and sometimes use it to teachm or jam etc...

its gets alot of use. i'm really happy. the cabinet itself handles 450 watts, whiich is pretty impressive.

i'm still trying to find a telescoping handle like on the ampeg portabass cabs for it though... music stores dont really like trying to get prices on stuff like that.. lol

    That combo is now...MINE!! :D
I just picked this up from Eric...can't wait to play through it! He's a great guy to deal with. The cab pictured is covered in carpet with a horn...he has a duplicate cab in tolex without a horn, which is the one I got.

Anyone else here play an iamp 350 through a 2X8 cab?

Sweet looking rig! How does it handle the lows? I've never heard 8 inch speakers.

    Cheers,
