My Luthier's Web Site

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [DB]' started by Don Higdon, Jan 30, 2002.

  1. Those who know me are aware of how highly I regard Arnold Schnitzer. His client list is awesome, and his philosophy is probably as purist as Jeff Bollbach's, and that's a tall order. He has just set up his website, and I'm posting it in case you'd like to see some of his work. By the way, his waiting list is more like 2 1/2 years.

That's old news, Don. Check out OT.
  3. Duh....
I've been ill for the last 2 weeks and unaware that Jeff Rollbar had already introduced the site in Off Topic.
  4. Hi Don :)

    Hope your feeling better !

"Your" luthier stated on his site :
""I do not use spirit varnish, shellac or lacquer on my carved instruments, as they can have a negative impact on tone."""

Next time you meet (and if you have the time)
could you ask him about this ?

Best and thanks in advance !

You should put together a book of your bass photography. Your pictures always astound me. I'm using one as my PC wallpaper. I'm serious, you have the eye of a real artist.
    I am, thanks.
Why not e-mail Arnold directly, with a link to that thread you had with all the progress photos? His e-mail address is listed on the Directions page on his site. And mention TalkBass and me.
