I just got my brand new Ashdown ABM-500 and I can't believe how much bottom I'm getting from this beast. I play hollowbody with flats through a big old 2x15 cabinet, so It's not like I'm going for a trebley sound anyway, but Jesus. It seems incredibly well built and the low end is unlike any non-tube power section I've ever heard. Does anyone have any insight into what sort of MOSFET advances they've made that produce that much boom? I've played them in stores before and always liked them, but I had no idea how exciting it would be to play my whole set up with that head.
