My Moon Bass is almost dialed in!(Help)

Discussion in 'Pickups & Electronics [BG]' started by gimmeagig, Apr 6, 2006.

  1. I just tried my Moon JB5 on a rehearsal with the Nordies i just put in.After using Ultras, Basslines,OBP3 etc.I now have the bass dialed in.OBP1 with Nordstrand NJS 5 pickups. It actually sounds better now than my 74 Jazz w/Sadowsky.I could not be happier. Thanks Carey!
Only one thing might need to be tweaked. The way i have it wired is:
Pickups to Blend to Preamp to Volume. When I back up on the Volume I loose treble and the volume comes on only on the last quarter of the rotation.Does anybody know what might cause that?Aren't there capacitors that can be wired into the pot?

Don't know about your losing treble, but the reason your volume seems to be located in the last few degrees of rotation in your volume pot is that you have a linear taper pot. You need an audio taper pot of the same value.
