My new bass probaply

  1. Hello People,

I present to you my new bass hopefully.
It is a Sgc Nanyo Bass Collection 4-stringer with active pu's.

I tried it and it plays beautifully, it belongs to a friend of mine who played professionaly with it for 3 years. He bought it new for € 1275 or $ 1100 3 years ago.

    I currently play a Squier Standard Special 5 (p/j pu's).
The squier will be my backup.

I need your judgement on this bass, is it worth the money in this case: € 500 or $ 460
It is configured with a Gotoh bridge and Gotoh non locking tuners.

Your judgement please, btw it is 3 years old.

  2. Nobody has any comments or recommendations or congratulations on this bass?

  3. Congrats on the bass - it looks as if it's in mint condition, and for $500 that sounds like a fairly good deal!!:D

Well...I've tried quite a few in the UK and I don't really like them - don't like the tone and the body feels disproportionately small to me - making them unbalanced.

I would say try it and if you like it then fine - but there are loads of them about in the UK and the re-sale value is pretty low over here.
