I just got my new Solano, and it makes a happy person. :hyper:

And finally, I'm 6'6" and this thing is as tall as me, I love it.

Sounds great, it'll be better though when I've done some more playing on it. I gotta get used to playing on slightly bigger bass than I'm used to.

I don't know if you remember me from TMEA, but I was in the Symphony section as well (I had the very old bass). I played on Anson's Solano for about 45 minutes and I couldn't put it down. I love Solanos. The problem is, I have no idea who distributes them. I will audition for the big shot music schools in about 2 years and I need a bass that will take me to a new level.

    Where did you get it?
  9. Wooooh....excellent, dude....(my Keanu Reeves impersonation for today) That bass is a chick magnet fer sure.
Seriously, that is a very nice looking bass. The finish and details appear to be first rate. Good luck from little ole me, I'm only 6'5"...and shrinking fast.

Hey man, I got it... from Solano. My teacher, Andrew Moritz, is friends with him, and he enjoys hooking up all his students with Solano basses. Here's his email if you wanna talk to him about getting one made for you: RumanoSolano@comcast.net or you could talk to Moritz, at Andy@thebassstudio.com
  12. Congratulations Aaron! It's beautiful. What does he call that pattern?? It certainly has some French influence, no?

That's one beautiful instrument. Enjoy, enjoy! So why a violin player on the tailpiece? Why not a bass player? You know, something like the bear pictured on Petz rosin. :)

Just kidding, of course. Play well and congrats!

Hope you have a stand for that baby.

That's not a violin, that's Aaron grown just a little bigger with that bass tucked under his chin to play it. :p

Great looking bass, by the way...

Congratulations Aaron. I was very surprised when I played that bass at Moritz's the other day. Not even a week old and it already sounded great. I think its one of the better Solanos I've played on.
  19. Congrats. That's a beautiful instrument.
  20. congratulations! I'm more in love with mine after 2.5 years.
