Saw that in a recenty Bennie thread- that top is completely 3-D.
Camphor burl top, black limba body, ebody lams and stringers
Very nice. Is it just me or does it seem like Chris sure does build a hell of a lot of basses? His dealers seem to always have something in stock and he has several popular lines. What is the average wait time when you order from him?
I am interested in the wait time also.
That is probably a question best addressed to Chris Benavente or Brian Barrett of The Low End.
Benavente makes my favorite single cut shape. Mmkmmmm gas
all right, let's rephrase this...what was your estimated wait time?
Im interested as well. Seeing as Benavente were the first boutique basses that I fell in love with,I may get one. If the wait time is under 9 months, that would be great.
So you're the lucky guy getting that one... that top is stunning!
Great, another nice Benavente I get to play at NAMM!!!
I am supposed to fly out to LA to pick up the bass at NAMM. I am really looking forward to it.
Nice bass-I'll never get tired of saying it but-I love my SCD5!
I believe the wait time for a custom Benavente is like 8-9 months. But why wait? It's been said that most dealers have a Benavente in stock.
Killer, that top is stunning.
Other than the Standard Series, I have only even seen a few in stock and even then usually used.
I hate single cutaway's..... but I want yours!!!
Benevante has to make about the only SC I like. And I really like 'em.
The Low End usually has 1 or 2 in stock. But if/when I decide to get a boutique (It's really a matter of convincing myself it is worth it) Id probably want new just so I could get everything I wanted. I dont really want to drop $2500 on someone elses dream bass. Plus ,, 4 strings dont come around that often in the boutique world.
Thank you, Brian.
