Check it out! My new Maccassar Ebony Benavente SC5!! You guys may have seen it on the Accessbass site. I gave up quite a lot to get it, but it was totally worth it! This is by far the nicest sounding/best playing bass I have owned. The bass features:

    -Single cutaway Mahogany body
    -Maccassar Ebony top
    -3 piece Flame Maple neck
    -Maccassar Ebony fingerboard(and headstock cap)
    -custom John Suhr pre-amp
-Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups with stabilized covers.

I am totally thrilled with this bass. It is everything I expected. I just recently took it to practice with my Blues band, and it killed. It has a tight and extremely clear sound, with a great low end. It has a great sounding B too. I have always liked the sound of a Mahogany body for bass. It has a special midrange sound that I have not heard in other woods. I am lovin it
    :D :D

I don't like the pickup covers. Apart from that it's chic.

Walnut has always been my favorite top wood. I couldn't pass up this bass though. It just looks so good! The pickup cover appear really light in the pictures. They are a a lot darker in person and match the bass well.

I am down for a toronto meet. I live about 45 mins outside of the city.

I'm with ya', buddy! However, I completely agree that your bass would be very difficult to pass up. Glad to see that you're pleased with your purchase and congrats on the new bass! :D
