Well maybe not "new", but it is new to me! It is an NBS Custom 4 with Swamp Ash body, quilted Maple top, and a Birdseye Maple fingerboard. The bass has Bartolini Jazz pickups and Bartolini pre-amp(with active mids:) ). This bass looks amazing! I have always wanted a Sadowsky with this exact wood combination, and then I found this one on e-Bay. This bass is the sweetest sounding bass I have ever played! Deep lows, and crisp highs. Slap sounds unreal. Check it out:D

The picture doesn't do the bass justice.

Sweet bass. Brubaker is making some really fine instruments. His shop is only about 45 minutes from my house. I should get up there

Congrats, Adrian, looks like a sweet bass.

I stopped by the shop today. It's always fun to see what he's cooked up. Played this one today, a 30" scale fretless 6 with Bart soapbars and an EMG preamp with volume-bass-treble controls for each pickup. Blew away the idea that you need a long scale for an excellent low B. Very surprising bass.

So did I. I mean, I'm a sucker for a chick grinding all over something that she has no idea as to what it is, other than something to grind on, but I thought Bru was a little classier than that. Now, get Jordana Brewster warming up to a bass, I'd be sold on Brubakers for life... :D

Brad - yet another sweet looking bass that Kevin created.

I can't wait to get my custom 6 string. I may be going up to the shop to pick out my top soon. His first spalted 6 string :D

The shots on the website came from a recent magazine photo shoot.

Looking forward to that myself. I'm still thinking about a wide spaced fretless six.

No I just think it's pretty tasteless. Like Ed Roman, but with a bit more polish (is that what she's doing?) ;)

    Ha Ha ...LMAO!!
    :D

Agreed on the tasteless comment! IMO it lower the quality of Kevin's site...bust that's just MY opinion ;)

I would prefer to see much more pics of basses on the site!

    Peace, JP

    I don't think I'd call that tasteless.

Maybe pics of bashing babies heads with his basses would be tasteless, but a photo shoot with a hot woman....that's more like..... eye candy.

I'd have my bass photographed with her anyday.
