Here is the bass I have waited 15 years to play!! It's an 8-string fretted Conklin Sidewinder with passive electronics and no external controls (except for the kill switch and pickup selector on the back). With it's 25 fret fingerboard, it has an even 5 octave range. The woods are as follows: - walnut for the body wings - wenge for the wing tops and headstock cap - maple and purpleheart for the neck - ebony for the fretboard It is an absolute dream...! p.s. - My special thanks to John Turner and all the cats who answered my post for dynamic control on multistring basses.
