Nick - are you going "all-out" or being somewhat conservative in customizations as I was? I've seen some great designs (like the January Featured Custom) that I wish I had the $$$ for.

  8. I'm being pretty conservative with mine. It's going to be a Europa style six string with a custom scale length. Maple/Purpleheart neck
Myrtle Body with figured walnut top (see Confection in the alembic wood bank on the Alembic forum)
    Series 2 electronics.

The only flash aprt is i'm having the recessed logo with shell inlays.

I like yours too distinctive but still quite subtle.

Well alright! What are the specs? From what I can see, it's a Mark King Std, flame* maple top over mahogany body, maple neck w/walnut pinstripes. Triple Omega with pistol grips and Heart Omega (I love those), side mounted jack

Any other goodies? Not that the list above isn't impressive.

You snuck up on us with this one. I don't recall seeing it in the Factory to Customer section.

    Peace,

    James

    * Edit - on second look it's probably more quilt than flame. Nice mix, though :bassist:

Mal - I guess I wasn't one of the 'lucky' ones to get a post to the Factory-Customer section. Maybe I didn't spend enough :meh:

But you nailed it pretty well. I wanted a distinctive body and I have Valentino to thank for that (it's his design). Beyond that and the side-mount jack, it's a King standard.

Nick - I have a Europa 5 now that regretfully I'm parting with - either trading for a 6'er or selling. It is a fabulous bass. You are going to love yours in a 6, I'm sure. Please post pix when you get it.

I get the impression that you have to ask for it to be included in F to C

Well, I've had the bass now for a few days and I'm really happy with it. Great selection of sounds and the balance is perfect. Needless to say, it is visulally striking and definately gets noticed!
