it is certainly NOT a "BC Rich Bronze Series" even though that is what the headstock says, but the bass sounds great. It really nails that Motown vibe. The slap sound is better than my PJ.

After some tweaking the action is medium (not as tight as my cheapo Yammy, but definitely workable). I may still be able to get the action lower, just give me a little time.

The chrome knobs are nice and tight and the pickup sounds solid and the bass is quiet, the finish is very nice (sweet green translucent), the neck feels good (again, not quite as nice as the Yamaha, but good) and a 3-ply pickguard! Are you kidding me?! What a bargain!

And the price $105 AU delivered (~$80 US). Another bargain find from your's truly.

  3. Its... ok. Maybe if you attached a cowbell to it.............................

    :p

  4. Nahhhh...the cowbell is on my wishbass :D

Seriously, I gave the bass a road test at church sunday night. At first I wasn't sure, but after I got used to playing it (responds a little differently than my other basses, each one is unique), I really started digging it.

This bass was bought more as a "loner" to give local kids a chance to see if bass playing is for them. But, in the mean time, I think this thing may see a little more action, yet.
