I've had my new Electroline for two days and have used it at two band practices. All in all, I have logged around 8 hours on this instrument. I'm impressed. I have an EL-535-PMM-FL which is the 5 string fretless with 2 soapbars and a piezo bridge. The controls seem to offer alot of versatility. They are volume, neck-bridge-soapbar pan, soapbar-piezo pan, soapbars tone, and piezo tone.

The soapbars sound really nice. Both are very clear. The bridge pup has a good amount of growl to it. The piezo adds an upright-ish thud and low-end to the sound. An 18-volt preamp in the control cavity allows the piezo and magnetic pups to be mixed together with the pan knob. In fact, my favorite sound comes from a blend of all 3 pups.

The bass also feels nice worn. It is very well balanced and the neck is comfortable in my hands. I can't really compare the neck because most of my experience is with 4 string basses. The neck does feel fast to me and the string spacing was comfortable for me.

Appearance is amazing. I'm including some pics but they don't really do the bass justice. I'll also include a link to Dude's pics of the same bass. Really this bass is absolutely beautiful.

Special thanks to Steve "Dude" Barr for selling this excellent instrument to me, and to Rick Turner for building it.
