Just got this from Bass Emporium on Friday. They had 3-4 different colors in stock. It was tough to decide, but I liked this Shoreline Gold the best.

This is my first Fender. (Why not start at the top, right? :D ) Haven't spent too much time with it, but my initial impressions are favorable. I need some time to get used to it. I hope this one is a keeper.

sweet! those all look nice. i'm digging the sherwood green one.
  3. Nice! This verifies my suspicion that fender's shoreline gold really is different from other bass brands, in that it isn't that gold at all. I love this color, the bass even more! Congrats!

I kind of like the plain maple headstock myself. :ninja:

Plus, the grain on it is so nice. It would be a shame to cover it up.

As much of a Sadowsky man as I am, I'm going have one of these some day. Everyone I've played just nails vintage Jazz, I'd buy one before I'd buy a vast majority of 70's Fenders.
  12. I like the natural headstock. I can lose track of where my headstock is at times and i prefer dings in wood than chips of paint.

Really nice bass, congratulations. Hope you love it.

Nice. I have been frequenting his site looking at the same instruments. I'd really like a CS Jazz, probably NOS like that as well.

Nice! I really want a bass like that!
  16. I really like that color with the tort guard. It's different. Something you don't see every day. And that's a GOOD thing.

    Total beauty and class.

If you decide it's not a keeper, I'll take it off yer hands cheap. I got no pride...you go right ahead and consider it charity!
