Well after a bad experience with the Jazz 24, I figured I give it another shot. I wanted a nice quilt top Jazz fretless to go with my Fender Am Deluxe Jazz FMT. So I got on the phone with the folks over at Sweetwater and had them send me pics of the Jazz 24 basses they had. Well found a nice one.....ordered it. When I got it I plugged it in to see how it sounded (I think the first Jazz 24 had a lemon preamp). Well it souned great! So I boxed it back up and took it to my local guitar dude to rip the frets outs! Now that I have it back I am very pleased with it. And she is a looker! Here it is (on the right) next to my Am Deluxe Jazz FMT.

It sounds great! Nice growl and mwah! I'm using D'Addario XL-170 Nickel Round Wounds. I use them also on my other fretless basses.

  4. I prefer fretless with rounds too, can't stand flats
