I just got it in the mail today. I startrd to build but had to stop cause my house is a mess & I should have a clean house for my wife to come home to so she's not so mad that I got a new bass. :p:D Well it's a Warmoth Geddy Lee Bass. I don't have the p/u's yet (need the pot's & p/u screws) or the nut installed. The neck feels GREAT!!!!!!!!! it's a little heavy but lighter than my Spector's. It should be finished by the end of the week & I'll have more info on it. I gotta go do some major cleaning. :)

    Aye, mama mia! ;)

Don't your neighbors find it a little weird that you dress your children in Spectors and Warmoths?

    Nino,

I seems apparent that you understand the concept of the "husband of the year award" point system. Making sure the house is spotless before tinkering with the new bass should earn you at least a 200 points.

Man, 15 basses, you must have done some fine work in your day, then invested those HOTYA points in some high yield mutual funds.

Or, you're so far in hock and you have a just have a wife that loves you too much, and deals with it.

    Happy Memorial Day,

    Bones

That`s going to be ( or is by now ) one outstanding bass! Love that neck, the best playing and best looking neck on the planet. What wood is the body and was it pre-finished? And, I agree with you that with these great parts you can ( and do ) build better basses than the corporations produce. Congratulations! And thanks for the nice comments about my homemade Rick/Jazz/P-Bass. SMA

It was a pre-finished alder body. Warmoth offers pre finished P's, J's, Strat's & Tele's for $235. All std routing.

    Cool, Nino.

Strange things are happening around here. I just bought an American Standard Jazz (metalic blue, maple fingerboard) after being almost exclusively a 6 string player for nearly 10 years. and I bought a Spector 5 string a while ago, too.

I'm really diggin the Jazz...I forgot how nice they sound. I'll post a pic soon.

    It's down tio 13.

    Yes I have both.

  18. Great, Nino!

I've been wanting to build a p-bass with a jazz neck, but I know nothing about electronics and would probably turn into a big head-ache.

Pacman: that is a great looking bass... that color looks great with the maple neck.
