    I can tell you most anything you'd like to know about my amp and cabs, but only yesterday did I realize that my bass is active....when the battery died.

    I'm such a damn idiot.

    Save up some cash in a savings account. Hanging around in the Basses forum will give you some serious GAS.

    ...but less than 9 years

    the point I failed to make is that I spend way to much time delving over my amplification specs and almost no time on my bass specs.

    I must find balance-and only then will I be able to begin walking the path towards bass Zen.

    Don't worry man...I didn't realize that my bass had a passive bypass of the active preamp until I'd owned it for 6 years.

    Wasn't there a user here who, afer playing it for some years, discovered that he could switch his thumb to active by pulling his an eq knob? I think it was Whofradamus.
