Spent the day at Club bass on Saturday and came away with a new markbass P5o1.
Only front room testing so far.
This amp is loud...bright and growly. :bassist:
Made my Eden 410 and 210XLT come alive again.
My EA CXL12E's sound phenomanal with it and I am stacking them sideways.
Even any of the cabs by themselves sound huge and I can't wait to give it a good run with band.

Cool to have mute switch and tube compressor.

It really is a loud amp.Look forward to AB comparison to my
PLX2402/art tube pac and tube EQ rig.
Had a great day hanging with Talkbass guys and pitters. :hyper:
Dave Freeman is providing a great service and cool club.
  2. cool! I orderd a markbass club s450 last week, but since I am out here in edmonton It probably won't be here untill next week. I am psyched though, going to pair it with some berg cabs later on, a 112 for small stuff and either a 610 or 322 for larger. Clubbass is definately my favourite store!

Way to go Murphy. I'm looking forward to usign two caps with my F-1 head to get the full 450 watts out of mine. I have six gigs lined up over the next two months but none big enough to warrant the full rig.

Make sure you both write reviews in the TB Review section.

    Hey Steve,
Yeah it was good to hang with you.
Did you get your iamp yet?
    How is it working out?
I'd be interested to see your replies re- EA vs. Berg.

So, been using it with a 9 piece RnB band at rehearsal. :bassist:
Sounds great...using only the one cxl 12.
    Lots of beef and definition.
    Extremely versatile.....and LOUD.

So far am very happy :hyper:

  7. I've never heard one, but am interested. There was lot's of discussion in a recent thread regarding class D amps (Walter Woods, EAiAmp800, Acoustic Image, etc.). The Markbass didn't come up, I assume because they have relatively limited distribution and awareness in the US so far. Anyway, do any of you MarkBass users have experience with other 'digital' amps... what's the sound like compared to the Walter or iAmp?

The Markbass I have is the old style power supply.
    The amp weighs about 24lbs.
The new models are the switching power supply...
    Haven't tried one yet.
    Shipment due in July
  9. They got a whole new line of amps and cabs!

Check out their amps - the Weight is unbelievable.
Like the Mini CMD 121P Combo - 29.3 lbs :smug:

The MarkBass stuff is getting very light!

I'm hoping to move my 60lb Trace Elliot combo for the Little Mark head (under 7lbs) and the 102 Traveler (33lbs).

They oughtta help with easing the spinal injury!
