Hey all. Just wanted to show you the pictures of my new Ritter Seal. Brian from the LowEnd has been great throughout this whole thing and put up with a lot of my questions and concerns.

Of course thanks to Jens and all his hard work! I can't wait until I get my hands on it.

It starts its trip to me tomorrow!

Wow. That's one of the nicest looking Ritters I have ever seen. Looks killer.

I've played a few of those, and unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), they just don't do anything for me feelwise. I guess I'm stuck on my Steinberger.

    Killer bass though!

Edit: D'oh! Beat me to it!

thanks! I'm excited about it. Let me say that the hardware looks kinda gold but it's actually chrome. I also had the input jack moved to the back for a little extra slickness.....

Jens called the fretboard and pickup covers dirty ebony.

    Congratulations! That is sweet. :D

I didn't like the Seal when I first saw it (probably something to do with that gold finish I saw somewhere in these forums), but your pic changed my opinion. That bass looks great, man.

Ya know... When I first saw one of these basses, I was like "That is the Ugliest Thing EVER created by Man"

but, I think they are starting to grow on me...

If you dont mind posting... How much did that guy cost ya? I heard they are pretty expensive, but I never actually seen the price on them.

Hope ya like it. Have fun.

Heh... that's the first thing that crossed my mind as well - but I dig the seal. It's mondo cool :D On a side note, I am in love with their late lounge finish!! The basses look as though they're dripping gold or something... simply gorgeous. :D

  12. I was also initially weirded out by Ritters, but I've just recently really learned to love the way they look. I've onl played one, but it was a fretless with a lightwave pickup. How would you guys describe the sound of a "typical" fretted Ritter? Is there a "Ritter sound"?

that thing is amazing- it's like a perfect brushstroke...
if you look at it as a whole it has a smooth flowing feel..
a very pleasing piece to the eye imo. nice to see something different.
    congratulations!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :D "Only" being the key word here... :) I was real curious about their swordsteel strings and wanted to buy a set for myself, but... they cost 45 euros. And that's like close to $100 in my currency :p

I like where you had the input jack placed...and you can't beat "dirty ebony". Lovely bass!

Stroy05 - Nice! Great body shape and cool top and finish.
