Wow, looks beautiful. What's missing? I love the grain of the wood. Looks like swamp ash.

Thanks. The only thing I see that's missing are the control knobs. Yes it's swamp ash.

  4. Beautiful!

I can't wait 'till I get that note from Roger! :D

Do you still have the other one with the natural finish?

Your band plays stuff mostly on the heavier side right? I would think your Spectors still fit the bill best for that type of music and the sound to cut through.

Do you use the Sadowsky for other types of music? or are you using them full time with your band now?

I would think the Sadowsky lends itself to a more subtle sound, less agressive than the Spector in that kind of setting. I suppose it depends on the preamp and pickups you are getting in those Sadowskys though.

Very Nice, Nino! Is it going to have a pickguard?

    Hey Nino,

I hope you don't mind me jumping onto your thread here, but I received a similar email from Roger yesterday as well!!

I play very agressive w/a pick so pretty much any bass I use has an aggressive sound. It's just the way I play.

I don't think so. I asked Roger to leave it off because I didn't know which color to pick from. My choices were clear, white or white pearl, but it looks TOOOOO nice to cover up, even w/a clear p/g.

Not @ all. WOW. ThAT'S NICE!!!!! Almost twins. If they're both ready @ the same time, I'd like to see it when I go pick up mine. :)

He told me that it was ready to ship, and that it would go in the next few days. But please, fell free to try it out if it's still there. I'd really like to hear someone elses opinion of it.

I have to say, the clarity of your photo is heaps crisper than mine. It makes my bass look terrible.

Interesting that you went for the plain maple neck, which was my choice as well. I looked at the birdseye maple, but I thought it contrasted too much with the quilt top. But I'm really pleased with what I've seen so far, so Roger, if you're reading this .... SEND ME MY BASS NOW!!!! :D:D

    Nino,

Do you guys have any recordings that feature the Sadowsky? I think I heard some stuff with the Spectors before.

    Thanks!

We recently recorded our new 4 song demo & I used my Sadowsky 24 fret 5. It's not ready yet, when it is, I'm sure my singer will add the new songs @ MP3.com

    Thanks.

Unlike Nino, this is my first Sadowsky, and I'm VERY buzzed about it. Ive been able to keep the excitement under control while it was being made, but now that I know it's ready I'm really starting to look forward to getting it. The cool thing for me, as well, is that I took quite some time deciding what I wanted, and what you see above is the bass I've had in my head for a number of years. Needless to say, I'm very pleased so far! :D

    Cheers, bassaussie.

I'm sure you'll like it. I got my first (and only) Sadowsky, a Vintage 4, a few months back and I love it.

  15. I'm insanely jealous of all you Sadowsky owners!:D;)

That sounds nice. What colour is it?

Rather amusingly, I actually have an idea for another bass in my mind already (I know, greedy bastard! :) ). It'll have an alder body, vintage style, black body, tortoise shell guard, and rosewood neck - more of a 60's style. But I'm gonna wait until this one turns up first, just to be 100% sure that this is what I want.

  17. If it's not what you want ba, you can always give it to me!;):D I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands!:)

    LMAO! :D

Hey dude, I noticed you'd replied, I was waiting for a response! ;) I'm sure I'll be 100% satisfied, I'm just saying it might be a bit premature ordeing another before I've recieved my first!

Sounds like mine...;) Sherwood green (not as dark as in the photo), alder body, morado finger board, tortoise guard, hum cancelling pups and passive tone control

Funny...I dream of one like your's 'cept with a carmel top and soap bars.
