A Leduc Pad 4... Low end for Leduc, but expensive enough used. The previous owner played it quite a bit, but the tone is gorgeous. The A-string buzzes, though. I'd like to take it in to have it serviced, but would you trust any old guitar technician with it? I'm a bit nervous.

BTW, how do I embed photos in this forum? I'm used to dpreview...

Those knobs are insane! Me like.

I recommend photocucket for posting pics here.

Take it to a tech you trust. I take my '74 P and Sadowskys to a local outlet of a national chain but I know they guy is good.

Nice bass BTW, but won't those knobs get in the way?

You can click on the button that looks like a mountain and paste in the url or use [ IMG ]http : //picture[ /IMG ] (without the extra spaces of course).

Cool bass. The A buzzing probably isn't related to something too complicated. It sounds like an issue that a qualified tech should be able to handle. Restring it too!

... but I'm a slob, I admit it. I'll clean it up soon, I swear. Really...

Thanks, smperry, for the embedding tip. Mark pegged it - you can't really tell in the original pic, but the knobs are indeed recessed. Here, I can practice my embedding...

Cool bass!!! Do the knobs pop in and out, or do you just use the hole to grip it and turn?

  11. you can handle the knobs either with fingers round the edge (that is upper the body only for 1 mm); either with one finger on the hole. It is very ergonomic, I like it and I think I get better reference graduating the curse than with a standard knob. It fits nicely with the electronic efficacity.
