I just received my second F Bass, a natural Ash BN5 with Maple neck and board. I promised to give an a/b comparison with the Studio 5 but I think I'll hold off until I replace the strings on the Studio.

This bass is slamming! I can't even describe how nice this is. I just got some new cabs and I'm going back to using my AMP BH-420 amp. The sound just leaps out of this rig and the BN5 sounds stellar coming through it.

This is way too much fun;)

  2. That's beautiful Brad. Congradulations!

However, now you have too many basses. I think I should take that Elrick off your hands for your own good. ;)

  3. Looks great, Brad! Aren't you running out of room?

    :)

That would probably involve manslaughter, at a minimum:D

Nice bass! I have always loved F-Basses. They have a unique voice. I love the Natural Ash too. You can never have enough basses!

You need to fix your carpet before somebody trips over it.

    Oh and nice bass ;)

That's the boldest natural ash grain I've ever seen on a bass. I wonder what he finished it with to make the grain stand out so dark?

    Thanks, Adrian

I'm still not quite sure how the deal worked. I saw it on Bassgear.com. I got it from a guy in Florida who I've dealt with before. After we agreed on the deal he told me to make payment to someone in New York, whose name I was familiar with. I didn't ask about the details, figured there must have been a trade or something.

It was shipped from NY and got here fast. It has one finish nick near the trussrod, otherwise it looks brand new. Great deal.

I'm pretty sure the grain has been enhanced. It looks almost black. I guess you could ask George.

    These things are addictive;)
