Ever wondered what the bass equivalent of a Viking Contralto who's been smoking all her life was? Well, here she is!

I still can't believe how THICK the tone is from this bass! :bassist:
  2. Even though I don't exactly love the looks of Wals, I would really like to get my paws on one. I have heard so many good things that now I want to know if they are as good as people make them out to be. Oh, congratulations! I actually think this one looks pretty darn nice!

I used to feel exactly the same - but when I actually got to try two or three in the Bass Centre in London I was really disappointed - didn't like them at all - too thick, chunky and heavy...:meh:

    That`s cool !!
Wals still have THE TONE I die for.

BTW, you got a Nordstrand and a Wal almost at
    the same time ? You`re a lucky guy. :p

    I hate you soo much.

    I hate you soo much.

I'm sitting here in programming at school drooling and my friend next to me has no reason why (damn guitarists.)

    Can I have it?

And for those who missed it, here's a quick family pic :) I really can't help but feel that I've got all my ground covered. No more basses for me :hyper:

Oooh, in fretless too! Nice. Bet it sounds great.

I'm on the lookout for a Ritter fretless 5 or Wal fretless 5.

  12. The top of your Wal is simply fantastic.

The top is flamed olive - which might be a fancy name for english ash, but I'm not too sure about that...

I'm so jelous it's not even funny. That's like my dream assortment of basses. Except the Wal woudldn't be fretless. But a Nordstrand, Wal and a Jazz is most of the basses I have in my dreams.
  16. Congrats, Rusty! That's Harley's ex-olive-ash, right? I'm glad that sweet Wal ended up in good hands (and in good company). Enjoy!
