Well... here it is! As promised and said i would get my warwick custom order corvette bass, it has bubinga pommele wood with transparent emerald green high gloss finish (hate oil finishes!) also has active MEC pickups. She plays like butter but still need to set up the action just a tiny bit. Oh and need to give her a new set of strings aswell then she's ready to rock! :D I expected a rockbag with the bass as they told me, but to my surprise when i opened the package today, it revealed a rockCASE by Warwick for no additional cost, woohoo!!! :D

    here's porn pics! :smug:

    Cheers!

I was torn between which colour to get for the bass. I hate black, the red and blue makes it look more of a rockbass instead of a REAL warwick. The torquoise and purple colours look too feminine for me :meh: So i chose green in the end... :p

personally I think he meant that it should have no colour at all, figured bubinga is beautiful by itself, no need for stains IMO Nice bass anyway hope you're happy :)

Indeed i know Warwick basses are known for their exotic oil finishes, i find them to be less lasting then high gloss and imo high gloss looks better than oiled finished basses hence why i got the bass finished in high gloss.

Thanks for the comments everyone :bassist: :D

  10. This is just adding horrible amounts to my Warwixk GAS, but hopefully I'll have A Thumb by november. I love the green, im not really fan of the natural Bubinga Warwicks, High gloss does make it look way better IMO.

well i myself love the natural bubinga finishes, but i do admit that it turned out very sweet with the translucent green finish- good choice :bassist:

how much did this beast set you back by? It looks great, and maybe when I'm like 10 years older (or I get alot of money :p) I'll get a custom thumb with slanted back thin soaps and a 3 band...MAJOR GAS!

Nice bass all the way, how long did you have to wait?

Great, I have soda all over my keyboard.

Good lord that's gorgeous. I don't know what it is, but only painted Warwicks get my attention.

    Tbirdbassist-

Have you seen the custom order Warwick thumb bass in red stain with a kahler (sp?) tremolo, ITS FREAKING AWESOME! :bawl: I love thumb basses, the thump they have and the low end! Too bad the corvette is what i could only afford but hell i am chuffed like there's no tomorrow :D

    Fred312b-

Thanks Fred312b, i received more negative comments about the high gloss finish compared to natural oil finish on bubinga pommele, but now i received the beast, i am extremely impressed and pleased i stuck with high gloss green :D IT's a good thing the finish is transparent too, love the grain! :hyper:

    Teh Fleaz0rz-

The bass cost me £825 inc. postage which is £15, that equals to APPROX. $1,475. So for an extra $200 or so, you can get a custom corvette as a stock corvette seems to cost $1,200.00 on music123.com. I had to wait 2 months for the bass, ordered it in mid June and bass arrived yesterday.

    FunkSlap89-

Horny indeed ;) Can just smell her all the way from where i am sitting while she's in her bed :D (in her case lol!)

    fourstringdrums-

I never thought of getting a Warwick bass ever because i absolutely hate oil finishes, they just look dull to me imo :meh: So when i saw options and prices to get a custom order Warwick, i got more and more interested and started looking for what kind of options. Then i saw i can get a high gloss finish so a Warwick immediately became my ideal perfect #1 bass! And considering i heard many many positive feedbacks about the 'Vette aswell :smug:

Thanks for all the comments everyone

That high gloss clear finish is great! Thought i prefer the green effect after comparing both finishes imo.

    Vorago-

The word "porn" might of attracted many of you in here at first :D silly joke! ha, i will change the title after this post :)

    mattsk42-

Yeh green is quite unique on basses, another fine reason to choose green over the other colours Warwick give hehe
