I took a shot in the dark, and purchased a Warwick FNA Ltd. 2004. I just recieved it yesterday, and decided to give it a whirl right away.

Having gotten rid of my 5-string FNA Jazzman due to the neck size, I am extremely satisfied with this bass. The neck seems slimmer than any Wariwick I've picked up. The pickup placement is really nice, and I have a place to rest my picking thumb--usually on the edge of the pickup. That's been an issue for me with a lot of Warwicks I've played. The bass is surprisingly light and feels really comfortable to hold.

It's when I plugged this in that it really blew me away. I love my Fenders, but this sound was out of this world. The pick-ups were so responsive it was nuts. I literally sounded better than I know I am. It's as if you could blow on the strings, and hear a hum from the amp.

    Here's the pic...

I dunno why warwick had to go and put those HUGE facedots on there, but it looks great otherwise. Hope you have fun with it.

    Nice. Njoy!

  15. Very very beautiful bass.

As for the facedots, I think those are on all the LTD basses they have made recently. I believe the Vampyre LTD has bass clef face dots.

    Congrats on that bass !
I realy find LTD Warwicks to be of very high quality in craftmanship...
And for the inlays, my 'vette Hotrod LTD 2005 has big planets inlay so it seems quite commun on latest LTD's.

    Peace

I played that exact model the other day at a local store. It was pretty nice, the neck was a little backbowed but thats the setups fault, it wasnt far from being perfectly set up besides that. It sounded good and the neck was comfortable. I liked it.

My favorite Warwick is still , believe it or not, a bolt-on thumb. It has my favorite tone and feel for a nice slappers bass.
