Just received this and really looking forward to trying it out at practice. Now I just have to wait till Nov for my 8 string Koa Legacy elite. Life is rough I guess.....;) Zons are the best.

Congrats! I hope it wasn't more than $500. Anything more than that simply isn't worth it! :D

Thanks guys. I will reprt back tonight to let you know how it sounds in the band room! It is taking over for my well worn Sonus 5/2 redwood after 8 years of dedicated duty:) Atleast for now.....

I was just reading a thread about-Are boutique/high end basses much better than an
average price bass? Well looking at your new beauty should answer that question.
I have just placed an order for my first custom bass,a Stambaugh in January I hope.

Enjoy that Zon. Mike Manring sure does.

You know, I've had several Zon's (still have and play a Sonus custom 5) , and I've payed every model... I just like the Sonus models better - and their cheaper. That said, that is one nice looking bass. Joe does good work.

The sonus is a great bass. I have a 5/2 with a redwood top and it has been my go to bass for almost a decade. However my Hyperbass 5 still takes the cake as far as my favorite bass I own.

Thanks. New Zealand is a beautiful country. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon this year exploring Auckland to Queenstown.

Very cool top. You don't see too many of the Legacys around.

yeah I guess the legacy is not too common...

I tried it out at practice and It is everything I hoped it would be. Transparent and articulate with great low mids. My sonus while a great bass is much "stringier" and with much less low mids so i think this will be a nice change of pace.:hyper:

Nice. I've got me a nice Sonus Custom myself, and agree that Zons are the bee's knees.

    Gassing for a Vinny.
