Well, I'd like to have this bass:

The only way I could get another Sadowsky if I can find it used & even used I don't think I could afford it.

I was looking on the Lakland site & I see that Dan is making a SkyLine Osborn bass (Jazz BAss). I email Dan on a Saturday <font size=1>(about 2 weeks ago)</font> to see if he plans to make a SkyLine Osborne 5 string. I expected an answer on that Monday or Tuesday. I check ny mail a few hours later & there was a reply from Dan!!!! WOW. That's fast. He plans to make a SL Osborne 5 string & it should be available by Sept. <font size=1>(Right in time for my birthday is in Sept ;))</font>

This morning I'm wondering yo myself if the SL Osborne 5 string neck is going to similar to my SL 55-01. I email Dan again & low & behold I get a response about an hour later.

The eck on my 55-01 is my 2nd favorite feeling 5 string neck. My Sadowsky 24 fret being the best & Sadowsky Vintage 5 being 3rd.

The bass comes stock w/Lindy Frailin pickups & I plan to put a Sadowsky Pre-amp in the bass. I'm going to leave the LF p/u's in it.

How good are the Lindy Frailin pickups? Does anyone have them in their bass?

I just recently put some Fralin pickups in my MIA 75 Jazz reissue. It sounds absolutely amazing with the JRetro preamp and TI Powerbass strings. And, it sounds just as amazing in passive mode. You will not want to change the pickups out, trust me.

Shameless excuse to post pic of the Jazz and my Aggie rig... ;)

I have been able to keep away from the Lakland skylines so far. When I first heard about the 5 string Skyline JO a couple of months ago, it was the first 5 string to give me a twinge of GAS in a while. Maybe someday...

Now, if they release a Skyline hollowbody, I'll be in real trouble!

I have Lindy Fralins in my Warmoth P/J with a J-Retro preamp. I think you'll love 'em!

I was thinking about tht too. I don't have a P bass & that would be nice. I didn't ask Dan about a Glaub 5 but when I asked about the necks he replied:

"YES! Same neck on the 55-01, 55-02, Osborn 5, Scheff 5."

    He didn't mention a Glaub 5. :(
