Oh, my Jaguar is Olympic White by the way

    Upgrades so far:
    Hipshot D-tuner
    Black pickguard
    Jazz Pickup Cover
    Gotoh 201 Bridge
    Lindy Fralin Jazz Pickups

    Things in mind:
    Sadowsky VTC preamp (already ordered)
    Hipshot tuners
    Status/Modulus Graphite neck

I'm really happy with the upgrades so far and can't wait to put the sadowsky preamps on my jaguar.
I'm still wondering about the graphite neck part but we will see...
  2. How do the Fralins compare?

Here's the pic of it I actually have posted this before...:smug:

Fralins made serious difference. My jaguar now has more clear and even tone throughout. I don't really now how to describe the change but it made lots of difference in a great way :) I'd say very clear + vintage + hotter output + @

I was deciding between Fralins and Nordstrands and I wasn't sure how Nordy's sound so I went for same ole'Fralins

Pickups don't produce sound. They process it.

I'm not an expert on that so I don't know what to say :bag:
but it definitely sounds better w/ better "Processor" I guess?

Ok, now it's with Sadowsky preamp w/ VTC

Wires came with sadowsky were a little short so I had to extend them a little and it had few extra wires compare to original jag preamp so I had to do some trial error but wasn't that biggie.

It sounds awsome!! My whole idea of putting all those stuff was to kinda have Vintage + Modern feel and sound and it nails what I wanted. Fralin pickups and sadowsky pre w/ all those controls in jag mean VERSATILITY. It definitely nails Marcus Miller tone, Jazz of course, Precision and some more. And output is HUGE.

I ordered graphite neck from Status so can't wait to see how it will sound.
I asked Rob to make a Jazz neck with an extra fret making it 21 frets for a little more range. I thought of getting Roman numeral inlays like John Entwistle's Buzzard but couldn't justify myself paying almost 200~230ish, so ended up having no face dots at all.
I will post pics when I put it on my Jag. :)

It seems you made some great modifications to your Jag !

Do you have the possibility to post a soundclip or two, showing how the bass sounds like ?

I'm thinking about changing the pickups in mine and I'd like to have aucioclips to compare...
