My pickup hell

    Humbucker came today. ^ argh wires... can anyone help me on the wiring of this to a straight tone and volume pot. no selector switch. thanks :D

    simple, isn't it

    I'm not sure of the quality of that pickup, but I've got a Carvin HB4 that looks exactly the same in my mex Precision. Awesome sounding. It compliments the neck pickup so well. My Jazz
    has DiMarzio's but the output doesn't even come close.

    Cheers greg. so according to that, the:

    Black / silver one is earth

    the red / white one is hot

    and the green one

    doesnt need to be soldered anywhere?

  4. No, the green should be hot. Green should go to the volume pot terminal. Its the one on the left side of the diagram. Solder the red and white together(just wire to wire) and tape them. Solder black and silver to the back of the volume pot. That should be it. Check out the attached diagram
