A female friend of mine recently made me a nice offer: she wasn't using her black MIM Jazz, so I could buy it for $150. Only very minor wear, been stored under the bed in it's gigbag most of it's life.

I wouldn't really need another 4-string, but of course offers like this get you thinking.. I noted that I do have a piece of B/W/B-plexi at home from which I could cut a new pickguard, and I could get an EMG J-set for something like $130..

So, a rocker Jazz for less than $300, how does this deal sound to ya?

Oh, by the way, does anyone have any pics of a black J with black pickguard?

  2. If you don´t buy it, let me know. I´ll definitely buy it.

I say go for it. It sounds like a damn good deal to me.

  4. it sounds like a pretty good deal, the only problem i have with my mim fretless jazz is that the pickups are really quite awful, but you are getting new pickups for it, so that'd be taken care of.
    i vote yes...get it

If the last thing you need is another 4, you can make it an Ultra Bass, tuned BEAD:bassist: . Or even lower. :smug:

  6. Go for it.
