My 6 month old kitty, Pumpkin, was killed and
eaten by raccoons a few weeks ago. I am major
bummed. He was such a good little friend..
I had seen a couple of raccoons in the neigborhood and didn't think much of it, until
I was talking to some of my neighbors who had
the same thing happen. One neighbor saw it
happen right in front of her. Two large raccoons
had killed her cat and were devouring the remains. I didn't know coons would eat cats.
I thought they would just eat fruit and bugs,
and get into the trash cans and stuff. I WAS
WRONG!!! If you've seen coons in your neighborhood and have cats. BRING THEM IN
AT NIGHT!!! I normally do this, but we were
away on vacation, and my wife's cousin who
was staying at our house forgot to bring the
little fella in for the night, and when we
got back, we only found a few remains...
I bought a couple raccoon traps and caught
2 very large and nasty coons, we had them
relocated, I really wanted to take them out
in the ocean on my boat for a swim, I am so
upset and angry... I know there's more out
there roaming the neighborhood, but once they
see a couple of their buddies get trapped, they
probably wise up real fast... I'll keep setting
    my traps.

I have two kittens and a puppy. If I lost any one of them, I would be beside myself. Focus your energy on the bass. It has always steered me in the right direction. My sincere condolences.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss - I'm another major cat lover. I have 3 that I hardly see - they live with my estranged wife and son (after we separated, the *&^%$ bought a Rottweiler......I feel real sorry for those cats)

Your cat Pumpkin looked like a cracker.... :(

    :(

I absolutely adore cats and it saddens me to hear that your cat has been killed by a couple of no good racoons. I didn't know racoons eat cats.

  6. Having lost several cats to tragic deaths, I feel your pain bro. :(

I hate to tell you this, but it's gonna happen one day. Unless your pet is a giant tortoise or an elephant then it's going to die before you do.

Sorry man, I feel for you. I have had cats for 35 years, and had a few die on me and had 2 put down, which really sucks. But never had one die violently like that. Next time im gonna aim for those coons when theyre on the road

    >>>> It really sucks bro, the little guy
had no fear, he didn't have a chance.
I've become somewhat of an expert
on the behavior of procyon lotor,
the more I know about them, the less
I like them. They can carry and
spread of a list of diseases that
boggles the mind. I'm gonna keep setting
my traps and having them relocated to
a land far, far away. If I meet up with
one face to face in my garage, or while
taking out the trash or something, I'm
gonna have to plug him with my trusty
little .22, they're just causing too many
problems in the neighborhood. I've got
a sneaking hunch that they've burrowed
into someone's roof, got into the attic
and had a bunch of babies. They've found
people's pet cats a fast and easy source
of food. They have to go....

Man, I didn't know raccoons can be that evil. I used to see them as a "cute wild animals that eat only nuts and fruits", boy was I wrong.
