My poor MIM Jazz Bass

  1. My Mexican Fender Jazz Bass is acting up latley. The seccond nob (the middle nob) that usually turned off my sound completley no longer does that but isntead quiets things down a bit and then I have to turn down the other pickup nob to turn off the sound. Also, before this mishap when I pushed the strings onto the pickup there would be no noise, but now there is the string/pickup noise. I dont know if my pickups are ****ing up, or what. Also sound seems to be more muted. Any idea whats up?

    Thanks

)Another sad, sad story about a mexican bass, when will we rise up against this un-holliest of the holy bass makers and put an end to this debacle which we call bassism(bassism ? As the owner of Fender japan always say's "buy my basses, they much better" :D .No biggie dude change the pots in your bass, they are only a few bucks apiece and if you cant do it,have your tech do it for you,and consider it a needed up-grade for the stock ones be rubbish.

Take it to a luthier and see what the guy says, take an estimate for the job, if it's more than 200$, just sell that pos and get a better bass. That's what I'm doing. Good luck.
