Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

My ReBop is buzzing!!!1

    I have a Spector ReBop 5, with the EMG- HZ pickups and the tone pump circuit. I love the sound, but in certain rooms, when I turn the highs all the way up, I get some buzzing. It's particularly bad when I am near an electrical conduit. My bass will also piuck up my cell phone if it's too colse.

    I can't believe there is no fix for this other than new pickups. What can you advise?

    Also, I have a natural, and it is wearing out where my fingers hit when I slap. What can I do about this?
     
  2. Considering those pickups are potted, I'm surprised if that's the problem. I would say it's a sheilding / grounding issue with the control cavity or the pre amp itself if it cannot ward off RF interference properly.
