Hey guys i was wondering what you all think of my rig. I would love some suggestions for new equipment or ways to improve my old stuff.

My Rig = Squier P/J Special/Hohner vintage Jazz Copy with Seymour Duncan STK-J2 in the bridge -> Boss PS-5 Super Shifter -> CS-3 Compression Sustainer -> EHX Bass Muff Pi -> EHX Little Big Muff -> Boss OBD-3 -> Boss NS-2 -> Boss DD-20 -> Boss RV-5 -> Acoustic B600 Amp.

I also have an RT-20 i throw in the mix some times. I am also looking for a good bass compressor and looking into the sansamp stuff like the bass DI and the VT bass. Again any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Karl

that's quite a few distortion options. why have 2 EHX muff's? doesn't the BBM make the LBM redundant?
for good compressor ideas, read bongomania's compressor FAQ. it's righteous. You could also just mod the CS-3 a bit to improve it for bass (throw in a larger input cap for example).
VT bass is nice if you want your amp to sound better without buying a new amp. It has some good drive settings too.

i had the LBM on my guitar pedalboard and switched it to the bass board and i just haven't taken it off. I probably will in the near future. Thanks for the help paganjack!

  4. Not a bad set up at all. It's hard to reply better without knowing what genre of music you play.

As for the fuzzes, the BBM and LBM can do pretty different things, especially if (like me) you keep the BBM on its dry mode. Shoot... i have 2 fuzzes, 3 ODs and a Distortion on my board...

I play everything from reggae to metal, funk, blues, rock, alternative I agree that having multiple distortions is a good thing because i feel i can get more tones Thanks Din!
