I've always wanted an Ampeg 810 to go with my Heritage SVT Classic head. I almost pulled the trigger on a Heritage 810 cabinet, but then decided I could probably never move the thing, especially up and down stairs, so I decided to do something more modular -

I built (4) 2x10 cabinets. Each cab is 2.0ft3 sealed. I loaded them with (8) 32ohm eminence B810 Legend speakers for a total impedance of 4 ohms. (Each cab is 16 ohms nominal impedance). I can use as many or as few for a gig as I like. I've never owned an 810 cabinet, but I dont think I'm really missing anything.

This was more a fun project/hobby and not meant to be a cheap solution. In fact, an new 810 cab probably would have been cheaper.

To me it sounds fantastic and I just wanted to share with you guys how it turned out.

    Thanks!

  4. Very cool! I have a Heritage 810 but would like something similar to yours as well. Do you do custom work?
