My Sony MD walkman(Help!!)

    It's a pretty awsome little toy I bought. I happen to like it. So I put all my favorite Cds on it and some of my favorite mps on it.
    I went to put another song on it. From my Mps I've downloaded form LimeWire. It said "device is write protected" It was never that before. Now it wont let me take songs off or put any on.

    Can anyone help me?

    Say what?

    Some cd's are copycontrolled, others aren't, depends on the cd.

    So, what exactly is the problem, your explanation is kinda hazy.

    Now why is every audio file on my computer write protected?

    Hmm, good question, did you rip them off a cd that was copyprotected in some way (ie did you crack the protection?) ?

    The only thing like that. Would be Our Lady Peace's new one. When I ripped it. The song played like ultra fast. So I just deleted them. Then downloaded the song from LimeWire. That wouldn't cause this would it?

    So I googled it. I found out Write protect is so you can't edit or delete files on the disk. Alls I have to do is just flip the little knob thing. I did that Same thing. That didn't work vary well.

    So did you fix your problem?

    Not Related:

    You know you have to have your Wall Charger thing plugged into the MD player when uploading songs right? Just trying to avoid any future confusion.

    What is a wall charger?

    This is messed up. I can't even touch a file with out the error popping up. I look for help in the "help". Of course that was no help. I can listen to everything on there. I just can't upload or download songs. I'm thinking if I reinstall Sonic stage it might start working.

    Any other ideas?
