After 9 long months, it has finally arrived. It's the first Sadowsky to have a spalted maple top. It's simply magnificent. Flawlessly constructed, plays like butter and sounds wonderful - warm, fat, articulate with tons of expression. The strings are practically laying on the ebony fretboard. It's remarkably light and balances very well.

    I'm very happy. :D

Thanks to Roger and his crew for having incredibly high standards and great customer service.

I'll give more of a review once I can tear myself away long enough to write.

Okay, I know I'm beaming. Please excuse me!

Here's a pic. It doesn't do the instrument justice. I'll try to take more this weekend.

Gorgeous ... that's the best looking spalt I've ever seen!
  6. That is a really beautiful bass. I admit that I am ever so slightly green with envy.

I'm not really a fan of spalted tops but that one is probably the best I've seen so far (for my tastes).

    Just beautiful.
  7. Man, that's an awesome piece of work!

  8. Very beautiful bass!...I wonder what it'd look like with a splated matching headstock...

What difference does the pickup placement make? And does Roger do "ordinary":) basses with ebony boards?
    Oh, and MORE PICs please.

I guess you won't be needing that lightwave anymore :D .

I think I could give the Zon the love and affection it needs while you're all tied up with the Sadowsky...;)

Beautiful spalted maple by the way! I bet it sounds and plays like a dream
