from this GAS!
why did they have to make such sexy basses
I was going to suggest Peptobismal,
But clearly you just need a few thousand dollars..
Ya , peptobismal would have been better :thumb:. I've seen and heard the red one, never played it..I haven't heard the blue one. Has anyone here had an experience with these magnificent basses?
Oh man, that red one is just great
^ In action:
and it's lighter brother:
What's the string spacing on those? Looks to be pretty tight...
Not crazy about pickguarded ones, but the blue one is sweet!
Who's the guy in the videos? He seems to be pretty solid (I have played the Bach prelude too though )
Chris does make some killer instruments. I'm lucky enough be friends with someone that owns a few of his creations. The only thing that I don't understand is why he didn't use stacked pots on those '51 Ps.
3/4" spaced at the bridge. Definately not tight.
I think Chris is the best builder in the game. My fretless 6 is pure perfection!!!!
My fretted 5 is like sex too
I got to play that CAR red Vortex at NAMM - it's one of the best sounding jazz type basses I have ever heard!
those videos r nuts. The guy playing is damn good!
Yeah, I noticed a cool bass behind the guy playing in the first video. I was pleasantly suprised that the second vid started with that bass! I like that one very much. I think these videos are great to get to listen to basses I don't have acces to in my local shop. Maybe online music stores should have videos for instruments they sell.
I think there are too many knobs. If they were stacked knobs instead of single, it would look better to me. I think the control plate being that long just ruins the look.
I'm glad people have opinions, othewise I'd have to light you on fire! :0.
