While in NYC last week I stopped by the Sadowsky shop in Long Island City. I got to sit in the showroom and play some of their incredible basses. I also got to speak to Roger and Carl who took the time to answer all my questions, and make suggestions on a Sadowsky bass that would be the best fit for me. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
What's the walk in visit like? Are there other people in there? I can't imagine it's like walking into a GC bass section.
Not at all, its more shop than a guitar store. Very industrial with a couple of rooms that you can sit in and play some of the demo guitars and basses. The rest of the floor is pure shop with workbenches and machinery etc. Looks like there were a few more workers there working on guitars and some shipping out orders.
Very true. We have two big showrooms with many different amps. We regularly have people in playing, but it's not at all like GC. You can almost always take as much time as you want/need to check out everything. And we do regular setups and checks on everything in the showroom, so it's all in good shape and you can do true A/B testing of different basses. We love having visitors, so please stop by! If you are in Queens, we can't be that far.
