  2. Its a grounding switch i take, by the symbols there, i think you'll always want it to be grounded

Looks good, any pictures of the insides?

Oh, and you really really dont want to toy with microbass !

  3. Also, it probably doesnt matter too much, but i'd switch it to "off" on the back before plugging in

lol im only joking around with microbass :D

havnt been able to look inside yet as I just got it home, although I think my brother took it apart to check it earlier today and he said everything looked fine. So with the grounding switch I assume that to have it on is to the one without the X? Sounds stupid but I wanna make sure.

Also why is there the option to have it not grounded?

  5. Aye, i think so anyway with the grounding switch

Its probably been imported from the US, they always seem to have things like that and polarity switchs and such, because not all thier sockets are grounded (like ours), altho, im not 100% sure

And dude, serouisly, he will hunt you down! :p

Yup. The one with the X is a 'ground lift'. In a place with good power and proper grounding you should be able to leave it in the 'grounded' position, thus saving you from fatal-heart-stopping shocks.

    My thoughts exactly :D.

Man, that must be one sweet sounding rig, congrats.

  13. nice :) very sweet looking stack!
BP, the grounding switch is on earlier Trace's; perhaps becuase it was imported from the states - however on my old SMX, I have one; I always switched it to the off position when I used the DI to eliminate buzz. My newer SMX as far as I understand when the DI is used automatically switches off the grounding.

(you'll be grounded tru the desk with the DI in place)

  14. Very nice!

well, just had my first play with the amp. What can i say :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: lol its brilliant. The difference in tone from the ss ah3007 is massive. I had it on two volume and it was super loud(had complaints from my mum straight away saying the lights downstairs were shaking!!) it sounds so good you can feel the bass even at low volumes its great. The tubes are 6 kt88s and 4 12ax7. I cant believe how good it sounds.
