OK. This thread is back, I have had this bass for 6 days and this what I can tell: a) Construction flawless, every thing is perfect in this bass. b) Finish , amwesome , I was not expecting something like this, when I opened up the case , my jaw hitted the floor. c) I asked Nino to set it up with low action , and the action is really LOW, the lowest action I have ever played, not fret buzz at all. d) Weight , I dont have a scale at home but I think weigth is almost the same as a Fender aerodyne that is the lighest bass I have played, something in the 7.5 - 8 pounds e) Neck: excellent fret work, playability is great. f) Sound, This baby will sing if you gently touch it and if you want to dig in it the beast will wake up and a loud GROWL will shake your soul. This bass has a very hot signal. I have a Sadowsky and I can tell you that the quality is the same in all aspects, Nino builts high quality instruments within a razonable price. Also he offers all kind of options , basically you only need to tell to Nino what you want, the only thing that Nino did not offer and that I wanted to add to the bass is Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Conclusion: This bass rocks , I got much more that I was expecting, very happy with the decision I made. like 3 weeks ago but it was only for the body, now is finished ... I needed to create a new thread Valenti's work worth it
I have a Roscoe 6er and a GK head floating around somewhere between me and Florida, so I feel your pain. Having it at home when you are not is even worse! P.S. You don't look so well? Are you getting a flu? You really should go home and lie down! Can't wait to see the final pics!
Not flu, but I already told my manager that I have an appointment and need to leave early . I just called the guitar player to move the rehearsal to 3 pm, I should be at home by 6
I ordered a new bass head a couple years back and it came at 1 in the afternoon, I told my boss and he said something like: "well what the hell are you still doing here, go home and fire that beast up". Gotta love having a musician for a boss, sadly I don't work for him anymore.
Pedroims never responded to his own thread? He musta been abducted by aliens on the drive home from work.
It could be worse. You could be like me and have a session at the studio at 1, waiting until 12:30 to leave hoping that the bass arrives before you leave, and then arriving at 12:49. That's what happened to me when mine came. Good thing about my wife though is that she loves me enough to stick it in her car and bring it to the studio for me. I love that woman!!!
